10 years with you

A week or so back marked 10 years in mine and Rhys' relationship. Its a milestone.
At this point we should have been husband and wife, however, covid-19 put a stop to that for now.

During our 10 years together we have had ups and downs as would most people if they were together for this long. The downs were trying for a family. I was not dealt an easy card on the fertility front, and if it wasn't for surrogacy, we would not be a family of three. It took 7 heartbreaking years of fertility treatments to finally decide that we needed to try something else. I cant say I wouldn't change a single thing that we went through as it was so difficult at times, but it has brought us to the point we are now. A lot of relationships break down with fertility treatments, but it held us together. Among other things, it made me realize that we were meant for one another.

One of the things that we love to do is go away for short breaks. We have travelled across Wales and England, to Liverpool and St Ives to name a few. One of my favorite short breaks was Berlin just before Alys was born (despite us both suffering from chest infections the whole time). Also driving to the coast of Normandy with friends, all crammed in my little vauxhall corsa! It was fantastic. I was very excited to be going to Switzerland for our honeymoon, which is where we should be right now......but there's always next year.

So Rhys, you will probably think that this is total cheese, and a bit cringy but I dont care.....Im looking forward to being your wife and seeing what the next 10 years hold for us.

Roll on June 2021 (third date lucky), when I can finally call myself your wife.
